Daniel Jacobs grew up in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, NY. Known as "The Wasteland" this is one of the toughest neighborhoods in the area, dominated by lower income public housing where approximately 39% of the population lives below the poverty levels. Having an older brother and living in Brownsville made fights a part of everyday life for Daniel.
At age 15, Daniel took his first steps into a boxing ring and as he puts it, "It was love at first sight." Since that day, he has been training his heart out and putting in countless hours at the gym. His devotion to mastering his craft has helped him win numerous amateur tournaments.
As a highly touted amateur boxing prospect, Daniel was fortunate enough to become an alternate for the USA Olympic Boxing Team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In December of 2007, Daniel officially went pro, signing with 2 of the most influential figures in all of Boxing, Al Haymon (Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s manager, and 2006 Manager of the Year) and Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. He has performed remarkably well fighting on undercards, following the footsteps of such greats as Sugar Shane Mosley, Bernard Hopkins, and Oscar De La Hoya, becoming one of the hottest professional prospects. Daniel is looking forward to getting a title shot in the near future as it is his ultimate goal to become a World Champion.
Outside of the ring, Daniel's goal is to become a successful business person. He sees the YOR Health opportunity as the perfect avenue to achieve that goal as he says, "I want to expand and excel within YOR Health as an example of living a healthy lifestyle. And I love to help people achieve better health as well."
