Found My Swagger Again!
Hi, my name is Joanne Kendall of the Bronx, NY. By trade, I am part of the clerical staff at the New York State Division of Parole's Work Release department. During the holidays, I also work at Macy's Herald Square in the Parade & Entertainment Group working a part of it called Santaland (as an Elf known as a Sugarplum). For a while, I have been trying my damndest to lose weight, and it always seems to keep finding me. I have tried almost every diet known to man, with temporary results, but always left me unfulfilled and irritable. I've done Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and have followed a nutritionist's weight loss plan. That one worked pretty well, but I just stopped going. I have gone to gym after gym, but after a while, it got tedious and pricey.
I was introduced to YOR by my good friend and sponsor, Angelica Bernier, (who I met working with her at Macy's) before the launch of the health line. I was so impressed by the presentation, that I said I had to be part of it. I went from being a D (deposit) to an A (applicant). When the health line launched, I was like a kid at Christmas when my package arrived with my MRP and CompleteBurn. The very next day, I started using the MRP along with the CompleteBurn, and WOW! I could feel the change already! In the 1st week alone, I had lost 7 lbs. by using the products, portion control and moderate exercise.
I try to make the workout fun by walking, dancing, jumping rope and light calisthenics, and basically staying active. Doing that, currently, I'm down about 25 lbs. and down 2 dress sizes (from 26/28 to 22/24, and working my way to 20). What a wonderful problem to have to take your clothes IN instead of letting them OUT! My energy is through the roof, and I'm having a hell of a lot of fun. I can see and feel the changes in myself, and I feel awesome! My mother, co-workers, teammates and friends I haven't seen in a while are like blown away by my results. My youngest sister who hasn't seen me in a while tells me, "Jo, you're looking like da bomb!" My cousin told me, "Oh my goodness. I can put my arms around you now to hug you."
I thank my mother and family for not SNIOPPING and talking me out of this venture. I thank Angelica for thinking enough of me to call me to come check it out, and my teammates for being so supportive. This is a personal victory for me, but I also want to dedicate this personal victory in memory of my father, McKenzie Kendall. He would have been proud of me and happy to know that his 1st born is almost completely happy again! I will keep on keeping on and never give up. Like Velma Kelly said in "Chicago," "KEEP YOUR SOCKS UP, 'CAUSE YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!" No doubt about it, I found my swagger again!
