I started martial arts training almost 10 years ago; however I never thought I would stick with it, much less compete as a point fighter. Since the end of 2005, I've traveled nationally as a competitor dominating the advanced division and making the move into black belt division, which was exciting to me.

In late September 2007 I injured my knee at a competition. I wasn't sure what had happened, I had so much adrenaline running, when my knee gave out I felt no pain. But, the sound it made was nerve-racking and was one of the scariest moments of my life. Try to imagine a twig snapping and the sound echoing in your mind over and over. That sound sent a chill throughout my whole body; my fighting days were done. Competition is my life and at age 20 it was taken away from me. I became so depressed.

I had fully torn my ACL, partially tore my MCL, and tore some cartilage in my left knee. I never had surgery before in my life, but the only thing I knew about surgery, especially in the knee, is that after recovery, it'll never be 100%.

Surgery was scheduled for December of 2007, 1 week before my birthday. Luckily, the MCL naturally healed and my ACL was now about 75% in tact, but they had to shave off the pieces of torn cartilage in my knee. After the surgery, I went through weeks of physical therapy to rehabilitate the knee. It took me about 3 - 4 months to get back to my regular activities, however I saw when I kicked or maneuvered, there would be slight discomfort and some limitations.

When YOR Health launched I was excited, especially my first week trying the MRP and CompleteBurn. Since my injury, followed by surgery, I had gained some pounds due to my inactivity. Within 2 weeks I lost about 16 pounds which was cool, but I knew it was only going to get better. I knew a product was going to come out that would help me with my knee.

Not only have I competed in 3 tournaments and rank 3rd in my division since taking YOR Repair, but I'm also training for a kickboxing competition since I have a background in that as well.
