As the first wide receiver ever to win the Heisman Trophy, we admire your stunning record of 1,094 career receptions, 100 touchdowns and nine Pro Bowl selections, and are thrilled that you have now received the most prestigious honor possible in the sport of football. Usually only four to seven people a year are invited into The Hall, and some legends have waited over two decades for the privilege. But, when the 49 member Board of Selectors voted to induct you into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Class of 2015, even competitors offered praise.
It’s one thing to receive admiration from friends, but another to receive it from opponents. Known among teammates and challengers alike as “Mr. Raider,” Tim has received well-earned compliments from other Hall of Famers who shared the field with him. Hall of Famer and close friend Jerry Rice tweeted the following, “Congrats to my man for making The Hall!” Deion Sanders said, “Tim Brown was unbelievable. He could run deep. He could run short. He could return punts.”
In his position as Chief Advisor of the YOR Health Athletic Board, we have had the privilege of working with Tim for over six years, as he led us in counseling new Board Members, has shared his stories of success and has addressed thousands of appreciative YOR Health Promoters and Customers when speaking at five of our annual conferences. His induction into the Hall of Fame is well deserved, not only because he is one of the greatest players the game has ever seen, but because Tim Brown continues to do great things everywhere he goes.
Tim brought more than natural talent and a love for the sport to the game. “I want to give back to kids who are less fortunate; who don’t have a positive role model in their lives,” he said. And, give back he did, by serving as the National Chairman and Spokesperson for Athletes and Entertainers for Kids and 9-1-1 For Kids. And, each year, he hosts the Tim Brown Charity Golf Classic to benefit 9-1-1 For Kids, while supporting the Mentor Mini Camp at the Raiders’ Headquarters for Fatherless Boys.
His deep commitment to bettering the lives of children has also been an inspiration for Tim’s most powerful book, The Making of a Man: How Men and Boys Honor God and Live with Integrity. Through his example and his charities, Tim Brown leaves a legacy not only of athletic excellence but of faith and courage.
In fact, these qualities were part of the reason that Tim was invited to act as our Chief Athletic Advisor so long ago. Attracted by the commitment toward healthy living embraced by YOR Health, and impressed by the effectiveness of our supplements, Tim started using our products and had this to say about their effectiveness.
“I had a great career,” Tim said on video, talking about YOR Health when receiving another award. “But where was this stuff when I was coming up in High School and College? I mean I had a great career and wouldn’t trade it…but I kind of wish I could have met YOR Health 15-years ago!”
Tim’s achievement means a lot to everyone at YOR Health. From the beginning, he has not only used our products regularly but promoted them to others with enthusiasm. A famous contributor with a broad knowledge of sports and nutrition, Tim Brown has repeatedly praised YOR Health for supplements like YOR Repair and premium digestive enzymes, over the years.
No more deserving person could have been voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We are thrilled that he now joins this elite group of 295 legends, as he so richly deserves.
